30 Bit Absolute encoder sets the new benchmark
 
 
Key features
• Absolute data with a resolution up to 262,144 steps/turn x 4096 turns (total 30 data bits)

• Separate absolute encoder part and evaluation electronics

• Absolute Encoder part incorporating chip on board technology for highest reliability in harsh environments
• Encoder part uses Hiperface interface for communication of positional values to the evaluation electronics. The evaluation electronics convert the Hiperface data to traditional absolute encoder outputs. Interfaces supported include Profibus, DeviceNet, CANopen and SSI (note: SSI version is limited to a max. single turn resolution of 32,768)
Additional features
• Resistant to a high level of shocks, up to 100g/6ms

• High operating temperature range, up to +125 deg C, dependent upon the encoder variant.

• A wide selection of mechanical variants. Solid shaft and hollow shaft units sealed to IP65 and compact encoder units designed to be incorporated in a secondary housing. i.e. a cost effective and compact absolute encoder solution which can be built inside the customers housing.
