Thanks to the unique ability of the system to distinguish between product and people, the C4000 Palletizer and Entry Exit system dispenses with the need for muting modules and sensors. Freedom from the traditional muting system allows the user to reduce nuisance trips due to misaligned muting sensors, part pallets and product changes. The C4000 Palletizer and Entry Exit can be used to automatically “learn” the profile of a Pallet or vehicle transport system as it enters the horizontally mounted light curtain. Additionally, because the light curtain is never muted, it is able to detect people walking beside the object as it travels through the protective field, therefore removing the requirement for side protection silhouettes or swing doors.

There is no need to mount muting sensors or muting lamps as they are superfluous. This significantly reduces the installation, commissioning and maintenance cost for the user.

Approved to IEC61508 SIL 3 IEC61496-1&2 Type 4 the product is suitable for application up to Category 4 EN954 and Performance Level (PL) e ISO13849. The product can also be integrated into Ethernet IP, PROFIsafe, DeviceNet and ASI Safety at Work.
