The DFS60 uses a new pick up technology utilising a robust metal code disc. This enables the DFS60 to offer unrivalled levels of shock and vibration resistance in conjunction with highly accurate operation. Furthermore, the encoder can be operated over a very wide temperature range.

To guarantee super smooth running, high accuracy and a long service life, the 2 bearings inside the DFS60 encoder have a very large separation. This may seem like common sense, but the DFS60 is almost unique in this regard. Most encoders of this type have a much smaller bearing separation which has a detrimental affect on the service life and accuracy of the speed/position feedback.
