The HIPERDRIVE automatic size change actuators are compact units designed with the sole purpose of increasing the speed of the size change process and therefore improve the operating efficiency of packaging, printing, paper machines etc.

These compact drives consist of a brushless d.c. motor, gearbox, control electronics and absolute encoder to guarantee reliable positioning without the need for time consuming reference runs. Producing a high output power for their compact size, the HDA70/HRA71 are a cost effective alternative to servo drives which tend to be overkill for use on adjusting axes.

The HDA70/HRA71 size change actuators are available with a range of gearbox ratios ensuring that there is a product with the speed range to suit your application. Electrical connection is extremely simple, 24V d.c. to power the unit and a Profibus/DeviceNet interface for communication of speed/position/torque limit commands.
