Hiperdrive is a drive unit which has been spefically designed to be used as a size change actuator. A cost effective alternative to servo drives for format adjustment and automatic size change the Hiperdrive unit is designed for simple point to point positioning applications with a low duty cycle.

The housing contains the following components;

• Brushless dc motor
• Gearbox
• Absolute encoder
• Control electronics
• Power electronics

Hiperdrive receives serial commands to move to a target position at a defined constant speed. It is not designed for highly dynamic, frequent motions. Instead it is designed to be a cost effective alternative to servos for size change applications.
