The big-eyed ‘baby’
About the size of a box of matches but with an all seeing aperture of 70°, the new SICK CLV 405 bar code scanner range is perfect for applications where space is at a premium, such as robot handling, clinical analysis machines, document processing and many others.

Available as a line or raster scanner, the Sick CLV 405 comes as a standard or high-resolution version and for especially tight situations, with a lateral scan line exit. All have auto-setup, target bar code evaluation, matchcode teach-in and application parameter memory to make set up and commissioning extremely easy.

With a scanning frequency up to 1000 Hz, the CLV 405 is able to identify all popular bar codes at high speed and long codes can be read at extremely short distances. The metal housing is rated IP54 and an RS 232 data interface is standard.

The Sick CLV 405 has a high first read rate; even for fast moving objects and first time onsite installation is simple without PC support. The little marvel is sure to prove very popular for many applications in the rapidly expanding world of bar code technology.
