Direct Part Mark Readers

Fixed Matrix Scanner
The ICR840 has some fantastic features - probably the best is the DPS (Dynamic Parameter Switch), where the device can use multiple recipies to select the best settings to read the code. For example, the setting to read a Dot Peen printed code will be quite different to one for a paper label or a laser etched code. The ICR 840 can try each setting and remember the best one for subsequent codes, until it finds one that is too hard to read, then it checks its recipies again and selects the best setting. The Auto Set-up feature allows very fast implementation saving for comissioning time on site.

Hand Held Scanner IT 6300
The IT 6300 is a purpose built scanner designed for direct part marked codes. Its performance is astonishing and it can read codes barely visible to the human eye.

DPM codes are usually datamatrix and offer a perfect solution to the Cradle to Grave traceability requirements in todays Medical, Automotive and Aerospace markets.
The IT 6300 is available in 2 options, either cordless (BlueTooth) or tethered.
ICR850 Line Scan Scanner
Traditionally, when reading a 2-D Datamatrix code the line is slowed down or stopped so a reader can take a snapshot of the area where the code is expected.
In some applications the speed of transport is too high and this is not possible.

The ICR850 is a Mini Line Scan camera that can read at very high transport speeds. Because it is a line scan camera the device can be triggered and left on for the duration of the object passing - reading up to 50 codes per item - with no restriction on object length.
for example a larger PCB with 3*6 smaller cards (18 individual PCBs) the ICR 850 can scan 70mm conveyor width and read all the codes along the length of the PCB.
The great advantage of this is that the scanner doesn't need to be moved for different board runs etc.

Th ICR 850 can also read linear codes omnidirectionally - so where EAN13 codes need to be read on the underside of packaging , the ICR850 laser is positioned between the convevors - looking between the gap. Picket fence and ladder codes are reliably read, where with a regular scanner only the ladder codes would be possible.
