The new OD Precision series of optical displacement sensors are the only OD sensors on the market to connect three sensors to one controller, making it easier to consistently measure the x-, y- and z-axes. These new sensors, which require less hardware than similar solutions, are ideal for measuring both the sides and the top of an object to ensure quality control.

The OD Precision augments SICK’s existing line of optical displacement sensors, which includes the OD Standard, OD-Hi, OD-MAX and OD-MAX Transparent. With eight sensor models to choose from, the OD Precision provides a variety of different sensing ranges with precise resolutions down to 0.02 microns. These price-competitive sensors require no software, are simple to set up and operate, and can be used in stand-alone mode. Plus, these sensors are ideal for high-accuracy applications in the automotive, robotics and electronics/semiconductor markets.
