The configuration software CDS (Configuration & Diagnostic Software) allows project planning, commissioning, configuration and diagnostics of the industrial safety systems by SICK.

With the configuration software CDS you are able to configure the following software-based safety systems by SICK:

• Safety laser scanner S3000
• Safety laser scanner S200/S300
• Safety camera system V4000 Press Brake
• Safety light curtain C4000
• Multiple light beam safety device M4000
• Safety controller UE440/UE470
• Network solution PROFIsafe UE4100
• Network solution DeviceNet Safety UE4400
• Network solution Gateways UE1140, UE1840, UE1940 and UE4140

• The device is connected to the PC through a RS-232 interface. Connection cables (RS-232 to M8 x 1) are available in different lengths of 2 or 8 metres.
• In case that your computer does not have the RS-232 interface, you can get a USB to RS-232 converter (part no. 6035396).
• During the installation of the configuration software from CD-ROM you can also install the operation instructions of all safety systems mentioned above.
• Easy documentation of the device attributes and also the configuration due to automatic protocol creation
• Different user groups (machine operator, authorized customer, etc.) allow different functionalities.
• Specialized function blocks make it easy to configure your application
• Free delivery of the configuration software by ordering one of the safety systems mentioned above
